But not tonight no I am full of it!

It all started tonight while I was on assignment (sounds so cool! haha) for The Courier-Tribune covering the Public Hearing for the possible closing of the Bern School. Hearing all the teachers, parents, and especially kids talk about how much their school means to them and it was truly inspiring to see the passion in these young people. And yes I know I'm not old by any means but I remember being like that in high school and it started my creative juices flowing.

So then on the way back to Seneca I just had the over whelming need to make some art! So I reached back in the Art arsenal and pulled out some Photo 101 from Mr. Armon Means and did some night photos, except this time with digital! Man I loved then night assignment! And here are my top three favs from tonight! Hope you enjoy share some comments :)

P.S. to all my photog peeps out there I am loving being back in the creative swing of things!!

HOORAY!!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kyleeluckeroth.blogspot.com/2012/02/do-you-believe-in-rock-n-roll-can-music.html' title='Do you believe in Rock N' Roll? After the Storm?

Everyone always hears about the "calm before the storm" the quiet before the mayhem which is for the most part true. There is always an eerie quiet that proceeds the big bad storm. Growing up in Kansas we heard it even more, whenever severe weather would come around we would always get told that as long as the wind was blowing the animals were making noise everything was alright, but when everything gets quiet, THAT'S the time to worry.

But what happens after the storm? Destruction? A plain old giant mess? Well in the case of tornadoes that may be true, but I don't think so when it comes to life...

In the last month of my life I have graduated college, moved back to my hometown, started working what my friends and I have dubbed a "big kid job", and more or less have been readjusting to life in Nemaha County. But instead of mess after that Storm of moving and change I finally have acquired calm.

It is a wonderful calm, my life has been so hectic in the last two months that I haven't really had too much time to devout to what I love to do, writing and photography, and writing about photography. But now my "Big Kid Job" is completely about 2 of those things. I am a reporter/writer/photographer/designer for the Courier Tribune, the paper in my hometown of Seneca KS. I have been working there since July but since graduating in December I've really been able to take on more responsibilities and feel like I've really become part of the staff.

As for the writing about photography that it was this us. This blog is going to help me learn more about photography and also to share my thoughts and feelings towards my photography and my life in general. I hope someone out there in cyber land finds this interesting and that maybe I won't be the only one learning something along the way.

Also I hope to keep at the least weekly posts so yea... welcome to what the "f" stop.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://kyleeluckeroth.blogspot.com/2012/01/calm-after-storm.html' title='The Calm...
